IACloud
Your PDFs, pictures, recordings and videos on all your devices, encrypted on each device before they leave it. IASoft stores only the encrypted copy and has no way to read it. Nothing is sent unless you select Save to IACloud.
Checking your IACloud…
Sign in to keep your files everywhere
- End-to-end encrypted. Files are locked on your device with a key only your devices have. We store the locked copy and can’t open it.
- 240 MB, free. One IASoft account works across all IASoft apps, Retro Metro included.
- Your choice. Everything on MiscDisc works without an account. IACloud is only for keeping the files you choose on all your devices.
Turn on IACloud
Turning it on makes a key that locks your files, kept on this device, and a recovery key for you to keep safe. Your other devices get the key from this one when you approve them, or from the recovery key.
If you lose all your devices and the recovery key, nobody can open your files in IACloud, not even IASoft. That’s what keeps them private.
Your recovery key
Keep it somewhere safe and private: a password manager, or printed and put away. You’ll need it if you have no other device to approve a new one. It’s shown only now.
Set up this device
IACloud is on for your account. This device needs the key that opens your files.
Approve it from another device
On a phone or computer where IACloud is set up, you’ll check that both show the same code.
Use your recovery key
Waiting for your other device
On a device where IACloud is set up, open miscdisc.app/cloud/. This device will appear there. Approve it if it shows this code:
· · ·
The code appears once your other device answers. The request lasts 10 minutes.

Delete everything MiscDisc keeps in IACloud
Removes every file MiscDisc keeps in IACloud for good and turns it off, on all your devices. What’s on each device stays there, and so do other apps’ things, such as Retro Metro’s saves.
About IACloud
- Can IASoft read my files?
- No. Each file is encrypted on your device (AES-256) with a key that never leaves your devices unencrypted. IACloud receives only the encrypted copy, plus its size and when it changed: not its name or a byte of what’s in it.
- What is the recovery key for?
- It’s the spare key. If you have no other device to approve a new one, typing the recovery key sets the new device up. Without any of your devices and without the recovery key, what’s in IACloud can’t be opened by anyone.
- How does approving a device work?
- The new device asks; your other device answers; both show a six-digit code made from what they swapped. If the codes match, the key is sent to the new device locked so only it can open it. If they don’t, someone is in between: turn it down.
- What does Save to IACloud do with a file?
- It encrypts the file on your device, name included, and keeps the encrypted copy in IACloud, so you can download it again on any of your devices from this page. The tool page itself still can’t send anything anywhere: it hands the file to this page’s invisible helper, in your browser.
- How do I check what this page sends?
- As on the other pages, read its
Content-Security-Policy(see How it works). This page and its invisible helper pages are the only ones that may also reachapi.iasoft.dev(IACloud) andauth.iasoft.dev(IASoft sign-in).
