Resize images
Make photos the size you need, one or many at once. It happens on your device: nothing is uploaded.
How to resize images
- Choose the photos to resize, or drop them anywhere on this page.
- Pick the new size: the longest side, a percentage, or an exact width and height.
- Select Resize, then download the results.
Your files stay on your device
This tool runs inside your browser: your photos are processed on your device and never uploaded. Your browser enforces which servers the page may talk to, and none of them is sent your files. Here's how you can check. Once you've used it, it works offline too.
Questions
- Will my photos be stretched?
- Not with the longest side or a percentage: the width and height change together, so nothing is stretched. An exact width and height is what you asked for, so a photo of a different shape is stretched to fit it.
- Can I make a photo bigger?
- With an exact size, yes, though enlarging can’t add detail that wasn’t there. The longest side and percentage only make photos smaller; a photo already smaller than the size you pick stays as it is.
- Which size should I pick?
- 1080 pixels suits social media and messages, 1920 suits full-screen viewing on most computers, and 3840 suits 4K screens. For email, 1280 keeps photos clear and small.
- What format do I get?
- The same as the photo you put in, where your browser can save it: JPG stays JPG and PNG stays PNG. HEIC, AVIF and other formats become JPG (or PNG for GIFs).
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. They are resized by your browser, on your device, and saved straight back to it.
