Questions
- Does it lower the quality?
- No. The picture is copied into the new file exactly as it was; only the sound track is left out. That’s also why it takes seconds, even for a long video.
- Can I keep the sound as a separate file?
- Yes: use Extract audio on the same video to save its sound as MP3 or M4A.
- What about MOV files from an iPhone?
- They come out as MP4, which holds the same video and plays everywhere. WebM videos stay WebM.
- Are my videos uploaded?
- No. The sound is removed by your browser, on your device, and the result is saved straight back to it.
